A man in Vernon, Connecticut, who police say stood outside his female neighbours' back door, drunk and naked, early on Saturday faces charges.
Matthew J. Reid, who turned 41 on Tuesday, was charged with public indecency, criminal trespass, interfering with police and breach of peace at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers warned Reid to stay off his neighbours' property after they reported that he had been standing outside their back door. The women asked police not to arrest him but to tell him to go home and leave them alone, Lt. John Kelley said.
After police left, Reid returned to the neighbours' property — this time wearing shorts, Kelley said. He yelled obscenities at the two female occupants. Police responded a second time and arrested him. Reid posted $1,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Rockville on Sept. 4.
